On February 13, 2020, Love Is Blind, a three-week event, made its Netflix debut. It was designed by Chris Coelen and produced by Kinetic Content Adaptations of Love Is Blindand Kinetic Content. The show has been likened to The Bachelor and Married at First Sight, both of which were created by Kinetic Content. A reunion special for the first season aired on March 5 on Netflix and YouTube. On March 24, 2020, Love Is Blind received a second and third season order from Netflix.The start of the second season was on February 11, 2022, and it ended on February 25, 2022.The third season, which was shot concurrently with season two, is set in Dallas, Texas. Love Is Blind received a fourth- and fifth-season renewal from Netflix in March.

Filming
From October 9 to the weddings, there was 38 days of filming in Atlanta, Georgia. The meetings took place on October 19. Filming for the ten days in the pods took place in Fayetteville’s Pinewood Atlanta Studios. Then, when all the couples went on a retreat, filming took place at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, after the recently engaged couples left the pods. The partnerships that survived the retreat in Mexico relocate to an apartment building together. The couples returned to Atlanta after the retreat and settled at the Spectrum on Spring apartment complex, where they continued to film up to the weddings. The weddings were held at two Flourish Atlanta event venues.
