On November 24, 2022, Netflix premiered the Japanese television series First Love (First Love, First Love Hatsukoi), starring Hikari Mitsushima and Takeru Satoh. Two songs by Hikaru Utada served as the basis for the series (and its Japanese title).
A guy and a woman who met when they were youths in the late 1990s and raised each other in the early 2000s are the centre of the story. 15 years later, they cross paths again and attempt to rekindle their initial love using memories. After an accident, Yae lost her dream of becoming a flight attendant. While serving in the JASDF as a pilot, Harumichi’s life eventually changed.
